Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) has raised fuel pump prices, with petrol and diesel rising by 38.30% and 28.02% respectively.
According to a statement signed by MERA Board Chairperson Charles Kambauwa, petrol will now sell at K3,499 per litre from K2,530, while diesel will cost K3,500 per litre from K2,734.
The new prices are effective today October 1st, 2025. The last time fuel prices were adjusted was in November 2023.
